Kitting Specialist Job Description The Kitting Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the accurate movement of materials throughout a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This position handles receiving, inventory control, picking, packing, kitting, and staging materials to support production and customer shipments. The ideal candidate brings warehouse experience, works with a strong focus on safety, quality, and accuracy, and thrives in a modern manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders. Inspect incoming products for damage and report any discrepancies promptly. Pick, pack, and prepare materials, components, and finished products for internal production use or customer shipment. Perform kitting activities to assemble and organize components required for production. Stage and deliver materials to production teams to maintain workflow and meet manufacturing schedules. Maintain accurate inventory records through inventory transactions, cycle counts, and stock audits. Organize warehouse inventory and ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and easily accessible. Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, as required. Use RF scanners and related tools to support accurate picking, packing, and inventory control. Assist with inventory reconciliations and investigate inventory variances to resolve issues. Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures to maintain a safe and compliant operation. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and production support area. Collaborate with production, quality, and purchasing teams to ensure material availability and support production schedules. Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in material handling. Essential Skills Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse, material handling, shipping/receiving, or inventory control. Warehouse experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment. Hands-on experience performing receiving, picking, packing, and kitting activities. Experience with inventory control processes, including cycle counts and stock audits. Ability to accurately read and interpret packing slips, work orders, and inventory documents. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks accurately. Basic computer skills, with experience using inventory or ERP systems preferred. Ability to use RF scanners for picking, packing, and inventory transactions. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks; forklift experience or certification is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude. Commitment to following safety, quality, and company procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred. Forklift experience or certification is considered an asset. Interest in developing mechanical and technical skills within a high-tech industry. Comfort working with inventory or ERP systems and related warehouse technology. Work Environment The role operates in a clean, modern manufacturing and warehouse environment that supports semiconductor-related production. Typical hours are Monday through Thursday from 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with overtime available on Fridays to support production demands. The work involves frequent movement within the warehouse and production areas, handling materials, and operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and potentially forklifts. The facility emphasizes safety, organization, and cleanliness, and uses technologies such as RF scanners and inventory or ERP systems to support efficient material flow. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
