6+ month contract with potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position based on performance About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Inventory Associate II / Forklift Operator to support fulfillment and inventory operations. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, tracking, and shipping inventory while ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with established operating procedures. The ideal candidate has experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or inventory environments and is comfortable operating material handling equipment. Key ResponsibilitiesInventory & Fulfillment Operations Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments from carriers. Inspect incoming materials and packages to ensure compliance with quality standards and operating procedures. Perform inventory counting, cycle counts, and stock verification activities. Store, organize, and maintain inventory in designated locations. Support picking, kitting, packing, and shipping activities. Material Handling Safely operate material handling equipment, including: Forklifts Reach trucks Turret trucks Electronic pallet jacks (EPJs) Move materials, parts, pallets, and inventory throughout the facility while adhering to safety guidelines. Perform routine equipment checks and report any operational concerns. Quality & Documentation Conduct quality control checks according to established procedures. Accurately document receipts, inventory transactions, and work orders. Enter inventory data into warehouse management and inventory systems. Ensure proper labeling, identification, and traceability of materials throughout the workflow. Packaging & Storage Determine appropriate packaging requirements for parts and materials. Package, wrap, secure, and stage inventory for storage or shipment. Assign storage locations and perform inventory audits as required. Continuous Improvement Identify process inefficiencies, inventory discrepancies, or operational roadblocks. Escalate issues that may impact downstream operations. Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to problem-solving initiatives that improve workflow efficiency and quality. Minimum Qualifications 2+ years of experience in fulfillment, warehouse, logistics, inventory, or distribution operations. Experience with inventory control, receiving, shipping, storage, and material handling processes. Ability to operate or willingness to be trained on forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Experience using inventory management systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), or related software. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining inventory accuracy. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with Bills of Material (BOMs) and inventory planning requirements. Prior forklift certification or experience operating powered industrial trucks. Experience with receiving, put-away, picking, kitting, cycle counting, and shipping processes in a fulfillment environment. Understanding of quality control and inventory auditing procedures.
