Job Title:
Wine Room Assistant Job Summary The Wine Room Assistant is responsible for working directly with the Wine Room Manager to maintain an organized, efficient, and positive workflow for all inbound and outbound wine within Baker Distributing's Wine Department. This position plays an important role in ensuring wine products are received, organized, rotated, transferred, and prepared for shipment accurately and efficiently.Working Hours:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Key Responsibilities- Work directly with the Wine Room Manager to maintain an organized and efficient workflow throughout the Wine Department.
- Assist with the receiving, organizing, and storage of inbound wine shipments.
- Pull, stage, and prepare wine orders for outbound Deliveries.
- Ensure wine is properly organized and rotated to maintain product quality and inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized wine room and work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and ensure physical inventory matches system quantities.
- Safely move and handle wine products throughout the warehouse.
- Assist with loading and unloading wine shipments as needed.
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or misplaced product.
- Communicate with the Wine Room Manager regarding inventory needs, workflow issues, and daily priorities.
- Assist with other Wine Department and warehouse responsibilities as needed. Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle cases of wine.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while following direction from the Wine Room Manager.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Previous warehouse, beverage, or wine industry experience is a plus.
- Forklift experience/certification is a plus.
