Job Description
What you will be doing Albertsons Companies has an exciting opportunity to join our Inventory control team in the Auburn DC. You will learn everything about inventory, warehouse operations and have an opportunity for advancement with all of our DC's through out the US. In this role, you will be processing quarterly cycle counts, daily inventory counts, verifying code dates and investigating inventory issues. This position will collaborate with warehouse operation teams as well as procurement teams on inventory issues. The position will be based in Auburn, WA. Main responsibilities Preforming count tasks and SOX cycle counts. Prepares physical inventory recaps on a timely basis for management review. Reviews and follows inventory control procedures. Identifies and resolves all internal shrink problems. Coordinates changes to the inventory for damage, spoilage, vendor returns, department changes, pack changes, and continuity returns with the Accounting Manager and accounting staff. Reviews inventory adjustments daily. Works with Procurement to resolve at risk inventory and short-coded product. Monitors store returns and salvage programs. Maintains record retention program in compliance with corporate guidelines and policies. Quarterly audits parts and supply inventories to ensure accuracy. Performs related duties as assigned by Manager. What we are searching for General knowledge of applications and computer capabilities. Experience using calculators and other office equipment with the ability to enter data accurately to maintain various databases. Possess good communication skills, both oral and written. Deal effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and over the phone. Focuses on serving the needs of both operations and procurement. Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail. Must be available to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends. Must be able to work in a cold environment (32 degrees). Will provide cold gear when needed. Schedule is 3pm-11:30pm.
