Job Description

Position Summary:
The Parts Specialist is responsible for the daily administration of the parts department. This role ensures total compliance with FAA regulations regarding aviation material control, documentation, and traceability. You will manage the full lifecycle of inventory—from receiving and inspection to shipping and issuing parts to technicians.
Key Responsibilities Receiving & FAA Inspection :
Receive incoming parts, inspect shipments for damage, and verify that FAA documentation (8130-3 forms, Certificates of Conformance) matches parts exactly.
Material Control :
Organize, label, and secure rotables, expendables, and hazardous materials according to FAA standards.
Technician Support :
Kit and issue parts, tools, and consumables directly to technicians for active work orders.
Core & Warranty Management :
Track and manage repairable cores, coordinate vendor returns, and coordinate manufacturer warranty claims.
Shipping & Logistics :
Package, label, and ship outgoing parts, components, and tools using FedEx, UPS, and freight forwarders.
Inventory Accuracy :
Conduct regular cycle counts, monitor stock levels, and investigate any inventory discrepancies.
Job Requirements & Qualifications Experience :
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in parts handling, logistics, or warehousing (aviation or automotive dealership inventory highly preferred).
Technical Skills :
Basic proficiency with computer systems, shipping software, and inventory management databases.
Compliance Mindset :
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow strict safety and regulatory guidelines.
Physical Demands :
Ability to stand for long periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Background :
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening required for FAA repair station personnel. What We Offer Competitive hourly wages based on experience. Pay:
$25.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
