Position Summary The Inventory Process Audit Specialist designs and leads risk-based inventory audits, analyzes inventory and process data, determines root causes of significant discrepancies, and recommends corrective action to improve warehouse controls and system accuracy. This mid-level individual contributor works independently across operational teams and uses judgment to identify risks, prioritize reviews, and drive sustainable process improvements in a fast-paced floral supply-chain environment. Essential Responsibilities Audit strategy and design: Develop risk-based audit procedures, sampling methods, cycle-count schedules, and full physical-inventory plans for warehouse and inventory processes.

Independent process assessment:

Evaluate inventory-related workflows across receiving, storage, production, transfers, picking, and shipping; determine which controls or transactions require additional review.

Data analysis:

Analyze inventory accuracy, adjustments, spoilage, aging, shrink, missing stock, and other variance trends using WMS/ERP data and advanced Excel tools.

Root-cause determination:

Exercise independent judgment to determine the likely causes and significance of discrepancies by reviewing system transactions, production records, shipping logs, and process evidence.

Corrective action:

Recommend, prioritize, and monitor corrective and preventive actions; partner with operational leaders to close process gaps and strengthen controls.

System reconciliation:

Assess mismatches between physical inventory and WMS/ERP records, authorize or recommend appropriate follow-up within established approval limits, and document the rationale.

Audit leadership:

Lead targeted validation counts and special audits. Coordinate routine counts performed by warehouse teams and evaluate the reliability of results.

Training and standards:

Develop guidance and train warehouse employees and leaders on inventory-control procedures, documentation standards, and recurring error prevention.

Reporting and communication:

Prepare daily, weekly, and periodic dashboards and variance reports; present significant findings, risk trends, and recommendations to the Vice President, RMS & Process and site leadership.

Continuous improvement:

Use audit findings and operational data to propose sustainable improvements to procedures, controls, reporting, and system use for perishable and time-sensitive inventory. Required Qualifications One to three years of experience in inventory control, warehouse logistics, process auditing, internal controls, or a related operational-analytics role. Demonstrated ability to analyze inventory data, identify root causes, evaluate risk, and make recommendations using discretion and independent judgment. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP, data filtering, and variance reporting; proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook. Ability to communicate findings clearly, train cross-functional teams, manage competing priorities, and follow issues through resolution. Strong attention to accuracy, documentation, confidentiality, and control standards for perishable, time-sensitive goods. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, engineering, accounting, analytics, or a related field. Experience with perishable goods, floral products, food distribution, cold-chain logistics, lot control, or inventory rotation practices. Experience developing audit procedures, dashboards, standard operating procedures, or corrective-action plans. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Work is performed primarily in an office and warehouse environment, with intermittent work in refrigerated or cool areas and exposure to varying temperatures. The role requires movement throughout the warehouse and the ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and visually inspect inventory and process activity during audits. The employee must be able to use a computer and standard office equipment and to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Schedule and Work Location This is a full-time, on-site position based in City of Industry, California. The employee may occasionally need to support scheduled physical inventories, time-sensitive investigations, or peak operational periods outside the regular work schedule.

Compensation and Benefits Pay range:

$24.00-$31.00 per hour. Actual starting compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, WMS/ERP and Excel proficiency, inventory-audit expertise, cold-chain knowledge, internal equity, and business needs. This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime, meal periods, and rest periods in accordance with applicable California law. The pay range is the good-faith range Elite Flower Services reasonably expects to pay upon hire.
