• Job Summary seeking a Central Service Tech 1 to support equipment and supply inventory operations across various nursing units and locations.

Working under general supervision, the Central Service Tech 1 is responsible for activities related to supply inventory management, equipment inventory management, equipment tracking, and Real-Time Location System (RTLS) support . This position also provides related administrative and operational support to help ensure nursing units have the equipment and supplies they need. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working with healthcare staff and visitors, and proficient with computer systems including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and iShare-based programs.

Not a set schedule; flexibility is required based on operational needs Candidates must be comfortable working a variable schedule and supporting department needs across the week. Key Responsibilities Manage supply inventory for nursing units across various locations Manage equipment inventory and assist with equipment tracking Monitor and maintain accurate inventory information Support Real-Time Location System (RTLS) activities Assist with equipment location and tracking processes Coordinate and support equipment and supply availability Work with healthcare staff to address equipment and supply needs Provide related administrative support for Central Service operations Work with vendors as needed Support patient charging methods and related processes as applicable Maintain accurate records and documentation Demonstrate professionalism when interacting with staff, patients, visitors, and vendors Work effectively within a team environment Perform other responsibilities as needed Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED , or equivalent combination of education and experience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, flexibility, and professionalism when interacting with staff and visitors Proficient computer skills, including: Microsoft Office Excel Word iShare-based programs Demonstrated ability to work effectively within and facilitate a team environment Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills Ability to manage equipment and supply information accurately Ability to adapt to a flexible, changing work schedule Preferred Qualifications 2 years of recent Central Service Operations or Equipment Management experience in a large, complex healthcare setting Experience managing medical or healthcare equipment Experience managing healthcare supplies and inventory Previous experience working with vendors Experience with patient charging methods Experience with RTLS or other equipment tracking systems Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare environment Familiarity with equipment inventory and asset management processes Candidates with healthcare equipment management, inventory, RTLS, or Central Service experience are especially encouraged to apply.
