Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic supply chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse operations, and ensuring seamless coordination across procurement, logistics, and warehouse functions. Your expertise will drive process improvements, support demand planning, and enhance overall inventory management efficiency. Responsibilities Oversee warehouse distribution activities, ensuring accurate stock levels and proper storage procedures. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 and SAP to track inventory movements and update records in real-time. Conduct data mining and analytics using tools like Power BI, Excel, and other data visualization software to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement. Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies or stock shortages to implement corrective actions. Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to optimize purchasing strategies, pricing negotiations, and supplier management. Manage logistics inventory processes including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, materials handling, and stock replenishment. Support demand planning through data collection, forecasting accuracy, and inventory stocking strategies aligned with sales trends from Nielsen or similar sources. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management software, and warehouse operations. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel data analysis, Power BI, and supply chain analytics platforms. Technical proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, AS400), MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and inventory control systems. Knowledge of logistics processes including shipping & receiving, materials handling, heavy lifting, and order fulfillment. Excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate with procurement, merchandising, production planning, and logistics teams. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively. Valid forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment is preferred.
