Role and Responsibilities The Director of Concierge Services guides patients through the surgical concierge experience. This person receives new patient referrals, assists with scheduling consultations, navigates the surgical processes and post-op care, educates hospital directors and office staff on the processes, ensures accuracy in EMR, works with CFO to process and monitor claims and bundle payment allocation, and maintains detailed and accurate records. The director will work with Lantern's staff, the providers' office staff, registration-inpatient and outpatient, clinical staff, and senior leadership to ensure the patient experience is planned in advance and cost effective for the treatment plan. The director should be qualified and prepared to handle unexpected changes that occur during any scheduled treatment plan and should possess the critical thinking skills necessary to mitigate circumstances. Must be familiar with the patient's bill of rights and willing to seek assistance from other resources when needed to ensure individualized care. Skills utilized in his/her job performance include assessment, communication, teaching, organizing, and leadership. Ensures patient privacy, dignity, and safety. Coordinate the Lantern program between Hospitals, Doctors, Offices, Lantern, and the patients. Review payments and ensure correct payments are made to each contracted party, including hospital, doctor, anesthesia service, radiology service, pathology service, hospitalist service. Communicate regularly with Doctor's office managers and staff to ensure compliance with the program parameters. Educate newly hired employees as needed. Serve as a resource for any questions or concerns the office staff may have. Communicate directly with OR directors/CNO's to ensure timely and appropriate processing of patient procedures, admissions, and discharge processes. Work with Patient Access/OR scheduler to ensure patients are registered correctly. Communicate with patients having procedures through the Lantern program. Communicate with the Lantern team to ensure compliance with the program as well as managing referrals from Lantern. Assist in business development. Including, but no limited to, contract management, recruitment, and service line development.
Qualifications and Education Requirements Minimum:
Master's Degree in clinical, business, or related field. 1-2 years' experience in related field.
