Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic supply chain and warehouse operations team. In this vital role, you will oversee inventory accuracy, manage stock levels, and support efficient warehouse distribution processes. Duties Maintain accurate inventory records through regular data collection and data mining techniques using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 or SAP. Conduct stock counts, cycle counts, and root cause analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions for inventory control. Support demand planning and forecasting efforts by analyzing historical data and sales trends with tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen to optimize stocking levels. Coordinate with procurement teams on sourcing strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiations to ensure timely replenishment of materials. Oversee shipping & receiving activities, including order fulfillment, materials handling, heavy lifting, and logistics coordination with third-party logistics providers (3PL). Assist in process improvement initiatives by analyzing supply chain analytics and recommending efficiencies in warehouse distribution and materials management. Utilize SQL and data visualization skills to generate reports that inform purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and inventory optimization efforts. Skills Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, warehouse distribution, and inventory control practices. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400 or SAP, and data analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis, demand planning, and financial modeling related to inventory. Experience with procurement processes, sourcing strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiations. Skilled in logistics coordination including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, materials handling, and heavy lifting. Familiarity with 3PL operations and retail management environments; experience in e-commerce is a plus. Ability to leverage data collection techniques for process improvement; strong problem-solving skills for root cause analysis. Certifications such as forklift operation or warehouse safety are advantageous; proficiency in SQL or similar data query languages is preferred.
