Material Runner -
Medical Tubing & Needle Manufacturing Location:
Needham, MA 02492
Schedule:
Full-Time | 7a-4p
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Runner to support production operations in our medical tubing and needle manufacturing facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring manufacturing teams have the materials, components, and supplies needed to maintain production schedules while supporting quality and regulatory requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Deliver raw materials, components, packaging supplies, and work orders to production departments. Transport finished goods and work-in-process materials between manufacturing areas. Maintain proper inventory levels at production workstations and replenish materials as needed. Verify material identification, lot numbers, and quantities to ensure accuracy and traceability. Scan and record material movements using inventory management systems and barcode scanners. Assist with receiving, staging, and storing incoming materials. Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives. Remove scrap, excess materials, and empty containers from production areas. Follow FDA, ISO, GMP, and company quality procedures regarding material handling and traceability. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Work closely with Production, Quality, Shipping, and Warehouse teams to support manufacturing goals. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, material handling, inventory control, or logistics preferred. Ability to read work orders, inventory labels, and production documents. Basic computer skills and experience with scanners or inventory systems preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely move materials throughout the facility. Dependable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Experience Medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environment. Inventory control and material traceability procedures. ERP or inventory management software. Forklift or pallet jack experience (if applicable).
