Job Description

Inventory Specialist Full-Time | Warehouse Operations | Inventory Control Mitchell Companies is looking for an Inventory Specialist to help maintain accurate inventory levels and support efficient warehouse operations. This position plays an important role in ensuring inventory is properly counted, received, documented, and maintained throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working with inventory systems, and able to identify and resolve discrepancies in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Why Join Mitchell? Base salary of $45,000 annually Bonus opportunity of up to $6,000 annually Monday-Friday schedule 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM Consistent daytime hours Stable, year-round employment with an established company Opportunity to play a key role in warehouse and inventory operations Benefits and additional opportunities available based on company eligibility What You'll Do Perform daily cycle counts of designated products, including lineside and backstock inventory Investigate inventory discrepancies and process necessary adjustments to maintain accurate records Create and update inventory locations for new products and changes in storage capacity Process inbound purchase orders and verify inventory received into the warehouse system Document and process claims for damaged products or supplier-related issues identified during receiving Monitor warehouse equipment and communicate potential issues that may impact inventory or operations Communicate daily with warehouse management regarding inventory discrepancies, equipment concerns, and operational issues Maintain accurate documentation related to inventory counts, adjustments, and investigations Assist with special projects, process improvements, and other operational requests Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned by management What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED equivalent; some college preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong time management and problem-solving abilities Proficient computer skills and the ability to learn and use inventory management systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment Work Environment & Physical Requirements This is an active warehouse position.
Employees routinely:
Stand and walk throughout the warehouse while performing inventory checks Bend, reach, and move throughout warehouse storage areas Work around warehouse equipment and varying temperatures and noise levels Lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs.
