The Inventory Accounting Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial and inventory records, supporting month-end close activities, overseeing inventory control processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Everetts, NC, acting as the vital link between production and accounting teams, with a balanced mix of time spent conducting inventory checks, analyzing inventory data, and supporting accounting operations. Key Responsibilities Coordinate local cycle count programs and regular physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy. Conduct timely inventory investigation for resolution of discrepancies. Ensure financial and inventory information is presented accurately and consistently for internal and external reporting purposes. Maintain knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company accounting policies. Support month-end and year-end close activities, including inventory-related reporting. Monitor inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, scrap, and production reporting to ensure accurate counts. Provide reporting, analysis, and operational insights to support plant performance, inventory management, and working capital objectives. Support accounts payable processes as needed. Collaborate with production, analyst, and accounting teams to improve inventory accuracy and reporting efficiency. Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, reconciliations, and inventory support. Deliver excellent customer and internal stakeholder service by responding promptly to questions and operational needs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field; or an Associate's degree with 2-5 years of relevant manufacturing, inventory control, or accounting experience. Experience in manufacturing, inventory accounting, or inventory control preferred. Working knowledge of inventory management principles, cycle counting, inventory valuation, and inventory control practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and other functions). Ability to analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and process discipline. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner across functions.
