Weitron is seeking a dynamic, hands-on supervisor with a background in manufacturing or industrial leadership! The production supervisor will act as a leader and coach to operators in a variety of roles and will be responsible for motivating the team and ensuring they attainment of daily individual and group productivity goals. This position plays a crucial role in the overall production process, partnering closely with leaders to ensure a culture of safety, customer satisfaction, and reliability within the plant, while working side by side with employees to create products of outstanding quality.

Key Responsibilities:

•Supervise a team of operators day to day, coaching them to meet and exceed production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards. Support onboarding and training for new team members, setting performance standards and expectations. Take overall accountability for production, performance, and quality within an assigned working area. Enforce company safety guidelines and OSHA standards consistently for a zero-harm environment. Optimize productivity by observing, recognizing, and aligning operator strengths with daily targets. Adjust working assignments dynamically to meet production goals. Communicate production goals clearly, providing feedback and coaching employees as challenges arise. Partner cross-functionally with maintenance, quality, and leadership teams to troubleshoot and minimize downtime. Implement continuous improvement processes to boost efficiency. Mediate performance and behavioral challenges in the workplace, escalating to leadership for support. Track attendance, performance management, and other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred. At least five years of experience in a manufacturing or plant environment, with experience in progressive leadership roles. Working knowledge of general manufacturing processes and equipment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in basic computer applications and systems for daily production reporting. Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to resolving operational challenges. Demonstrated ownership mentality with a commitment to maintaining high safety, quality, and customer-satisfaction standards.

Pay:

From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
