Our Inventory and Materials Specialist plays a key role in making sure materials move efficiently between locations and that our customers receive what they need on time. What You'll Do Inventory and Materials Specialist Review Purchase Orders for accuracy before pick‑ups Communicate with sales, inventory, and warehouse teams throughout the day Manage transfers in and out of locations from start to finish Ensure transfers are completed daily so customer orders can be loaded without delays Notify the Field Operations Manager if any orders can't be completed Driving & Safety Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections Keep vehicles clean and compliant Drive safely and responsibly at all times Maintain DOT logs, fuel sheets, and required documentation Warehouse & Inventory Support Assist with picking, packing, unloading, labeling, and staging materials Operate forklifts and other equipment Support Cycle Counts and Spot Counts Help maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment Administrative & Interoffice Tasks Keep paperwork organized and accurate Handle interoffice mail and common carrier deliveries Enter information into the ERP system Follow established SOPs and processes What You Bring Clean New York State driver's license 1-2 years of delivery driving experience in the tri‑state area 2-3 years of forklift experience Experience loading/unloading box trucks and flatbeds Knowledge of building materials is a plus, but not required Skills That Help You Succeed Strong communication and listening skills Ability to stay organized and focused, even with interruptions Comfortable reading pick tickets, instructions, and basic correspondence Basic math and problem‑solving abilities Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 100 lbs Ability to climb in/out of trucks and forklifts Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather Reports To Logistics /
