Job Description
American Motorcycle Trading Co. (AMTC) has been Texas' trusted source for pre-owned Harley-Davidsons and other brands for nearly 30 years. We're growing and looking for a Parts Inventory Specialist to run the back-of-house side of our parts department out of our 40,000 sq ft facility in Bedford. This is not a sales or counter role. You will not be working the parts counter with retail customers. This role is about ownership of the parts room: keeping stock accurate, orders moving, and technicians supplied so repair orders move without delay. What you'll do Place and track parts orders with vendors and manufacturers Receive incoming shipments, verify against purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies Inventory and shelve parts, maintaining organized, labeled storage Pull and stage parts for repair orders based on technician and service advisor requests Keep inventory counts accurate in our DMS (Lightspeed), including regular cycle counts Process vendor returns, core returns, and warranty parts returns Monitor stock levels and flag reorder points to avoid parts-related repair delays Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts room and receiving area What we're looking for Prior experience in a powersports or dealership parts department strongly preferred Familiarity with motorcycle parts, terminology, and OEM part numbering a plus Comfortable with inventory/DMS software (we use Lightspeed) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail — small errors in receiving or pulling parts create real downstream delays Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and be on your feet in a shop environment Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable owning a process from order to shelf to repair order Schedule and pay Full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, 9am to 6pm Every Sunday and Monday off - a 5-day work week, not the 6-day grind at most dealerships
