Job Description

We are working to increase vehicle safety by developing seatbelts, airbags and steering wheels and you can be part of our team as Supply Planning Specialist . Essential duties and responsibilities
- Releases planned orders, schedules, and forecasts to suppliers for component requirements for day-to-day production based on production plans and customer forecast.
- Holds suppliers accountable to shipping requirements (on-time delivery) and manages supplier relationships. Develops recovery plans as needed
- Works closely with customer (production) planners day-to-day to ensure product availability through the monitoring and oversight of inventory systems.
- Manages inbound logistics and expedites as needed
- Assists receiving team to resolve issues/questions with inbound freight
- Sets lead times and inventory targets based on demand, logistics patterns, risk and other factors
- Maximizes the efficiencies of shipments.
- Resolves unacceptable situations with suppliers, as well as problems between shipping locations, carriers, receiving departments, inventory analysts, and buyers to ensure planned arrival of product.
- Acts as liaison between suppliers, production, purchasing, and carriers.
- Advises on trends and/or shifts in demand that could impact company's service levels.
- Ability to respond to critical logistics issues as needed during off hours. Education
