An Inventory or Supply Specialist specializes in tracking and managing inventory and supplies to improve production or distribution at a company or organization. Manages purchase orders, or distribution of materials between different centers of a large company.
9x80 (every other Friday off) Position Summary The Inventory Specialist supports aerospace manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate inventory control, traceability, and compliance with quality standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining material accuracy through cycle counts, system transactions, and strict attention to detail in a highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and ad hoc cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate inventory records within MRP/ERP systems , including real-time transactions Track, verify, and manage materials using serial numbers and lot control in compliance with aerospace standards Receive, issue, transfer, and stage materials for production and shipping Investigate inventory variances and work cross-functionally to implement corrective actions Ensure proper documentation and traceability for all inventory movements Support audits and comply with AS9100 and internal quality requirements Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient inventory storage environment Required Qualifications Proven cycle count background in a manufacturing or aerospace environment Experience working with MRP systems and managing serial-number-controlled inventory Strong understanding of inventory control principles and material traceability Exceptional attention to detail —accuracy is vital in this role Ability to work independently on swing shift with minimal supervision Basic computer skills (inventory systems, spreadsheets, and documentation tools) Preferred Qualifications Aerospace or other regulated manufacturing experience Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality systems Forklift or material handling equipment experience (or ability to obtain certification) Physical & Work Environment Ability to lift up to 35 lbs Standing, walking, and material handling throughout the shift Manufacturing and warehouse environment
