About the role: The Inventory Specialist (IS) will directly report to the Buyer. The IS will directly manage, oversee, and document the retail operation inventory systems and reporting. They will be responsible for managing the on-hand inventory, as well as held accountable for maintaining the physical and digital warehouse, in-shop menus, sales reporting for the WSLCB, and supporting the Buyer as directed. They will assist the purchasing program with product intake and staging, promotional back-end programming, awareness of BOH inventory to assist in locating product for FOH operations. The IS must be an exceptional communicator, playing a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory records and controls. The IS role supports the purchasing program, while delegating inventory related tasks to associates. Approximately 75% of the IS time will be spent on state compliance, managing inventory systems and in-house sales reporting. The remaining 25% of the time will be spent overseeing the receiving, merchandising and stocking processes, as well as leading small groups in task oriented projects. We conduct trade with 50+ local businesses that you will be expected to become familiar with. Along the way, you will be answering phone calls and checking stock levels for immediate demand. Must be comfortable multi-tasking!

Role & Responsibilities:

• Model exemplary customer service by demonstrating The Novel Tree standards through every guest, vendor, and team member interaction
• Maintain WSLCB Traceability System Online for both the Recreational and Medical sales
• Present monthly close-out reports to the Purchasing Manager for final submission to the state
• Accountable for matching WSLCB Traceability System sales reports to the inventory management system, ensuring net revenue sales for accuracy
• Ensure in-shop inventory matches WSLCB Traceability System and the inventory management system
• Maintain internal inventory controls utilizing the inventory management system
• Support Buyer with volume report analysis and low product notifications
• Direct communication regarding basic support questions pertaining to the inventory management system and WSLCB Traceability System
• Run expiration report and work with Buyer to establish plan of action
• Manage the cage organization while communicating regularly with the FOH Shop Manager, Floor Manager and Leads
• Maintain vendor and budtender sample inventory
• Ensure the in-shop and online menus represent accurate warehouse inventory
• Identify quality standards set by the Buyer and ensure these are met during partner deliveries
• Maintain quarantine area and return manifests
• Improve and document all inventory management and WSLCB Traceability System procedures, allowing any manager the ability to assist in the case of emergencies
• Maintain consistent naming conventions in POSaBIT for easy filtering and sales reporting
• Ensure all compliance concerns are addressed immediately
• Identify significant in-house sales trends and communicate to the Buyer and Operations Manager
• Analyze sales data with the Buyer to assist with strategic buying habits
• Maintain BOH cleanliness standards
