Inventory Control Specialist Reports To:
Administrative Office Manager Summary:
The Inventory Control Specialist is an office-based position responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records across multiple company buildings and locations. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Track and process inventory transfers between multiple company buildings and locations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely inventory records in company systems.
  • Coordinate and reconcile weekly cycle counts across multiple buildings.
  • Coordinate and reconcile the company's annual physical inventories.
  • Research, document, and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.
  • Process approved inventory adjustments and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Review inventory reports and transaction history to ensure accuracy.
  • Follow up on inventory discrepancies through resolution.
  • Maintain organized documentation for transfers, cycle counts, annual inventory, reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Communicate significant or unresolved inventory issues to management.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Follow established inventory controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Qualifications
  • Previous inventory control, inventory administration, data entry, or similar office experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage inventory information across multiple buildings and locations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficient with computer systems and accurate data entry.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and basic Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dependable, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:
This is an office-based inventory control position primarily performed at a desk using inventory management software, spreadsheets, reports, email, and electronic documentation.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires periods of sitting and/or standing at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull of objects up to 20 pounds as needed for general office duties.
