Are you someone who likes staying organized, keeping things moving, and making sure the right materials are in the right place at the right time? We're looking for a Production Material & Inventory Specialist to support our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you'll be an important link between our stockroom and production teams, helping ensure materials, parts, tools, and supplies are accurately received, stored, tracked, picked, and delivered where they're needed. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced manufacturing environment, takes pride in accuracy, and doesn't want to sit behind a desk all day. What You'll Do As a Production Material & Inventory Specialist, you'll help keep our manufacturing operation running smoothly by: Receiving, unloading, inspecting, and moving incoming materials, parts, equipment, and supplies. Verifying incoming deliveries for quantity, condition, and accuracy against packing lists and other documentation. Labeling, organizing, and stocking materials in designated locations. Picking and preparing material orders for production and other departments. Delivering parts and materials to assembly areas according to production schedules. Operating a forklift and other material-handling equipment to safely move materials throughout the facility. Performing daily cycle counts and helping maintain accurate inventory records. Monitoring inventory levels and reporting shortages, discrepancies, or damaged material. Completing basic system transactions for the receipt and issue of inventory. Using AS400 and other computer systems to locate and track materials. Verifying picked orders for accuracy and completing required peer-verification processes. Inspecting parts and materials for damage, flaws, or blemishes before delivery to production. Helping research missing materials, incorrect deliveries, inventory discrepancies, and damaged items. Coordinating with Production, Assembly, Purchasing, Receiving, and other teams to solve material issues. Keeping stockroom and material storage areas clean, safe, and organized. Performing routine pre-use inspections of forklifts and other material-handling equipment and reporting maintenance or safety concerns. Supporting period-end inventory activities and cycle counts as needed. Assisting at other company facilities when operational needs require it. Performing other duties as assigned. Communicate when something doesn't look right rather than simply passing the problem along. Can adjust priorities based on changing production needs. Take pride in keeping your work area organized and materials where they belong. Understand the importance of safety when operating around people, products, and equipment. Experience & QualificationsRequired Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record as required for assigned responsibilities. Ability to safely operate a forklift after completing required company training and certification. Basic computer and data-entry skills. Basic reading and math skills. Ability to accurately count and verify inventory. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Preferred Previous material handling, warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing experience. Previous forklift experience. Experience working with AS400 or another inventory/ERP system . Experience performing inventory cycle counts. Previous experience supporting a manufacturing or production environment. Physical & Work Environment This is an active manufacturing position that requires regular movement throughout the workday.
You should be able to:
Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 60 pounds . Sit and/or stand for extended periods. Frequently walk, reach, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, and perform repetitive movements. Use one or both hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Work on varying and occasionally uneven surfaces. Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping activities. Safely operate material-handling equipment after receiving required training. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). The position works primarily in a manufacturing and stockroom environment and may involve exposure to moving equipment, dust, dirt, fumes, odors, chemicals, and varying noise levels.
