Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Yard Laborer to join our team! In this role, you will be the backbone of our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth handling, loading, and unloading of materials. Your energetic approach and attention to safety will help maintain an efficient yard environment, supporting the Shop and Warehouse. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in heavy equipment operation, inventory management, and warehouse procedures while contributing to a fast-paced, team-oriented workplace. Responsibilities Load and unload materials using various equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and crane systems while adhering to safety protocols.
Yard Maintenance:
Clean outdoor and indoor work areas, sweep floors, remove debris, and collect trash to maintain a safe environment.
Material Handling:
Stack, band, bundle, and tag inventory or lumber according to precise safety and company guidelines.
Safety Compliance:
Follow strict safety protocols, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), and report potential workplace hazards to supervisors immediately Requirements Prior experience in warehouse distribution or similar materials handling roles is preferred.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects, frequently up to 50 to 100 lbs.
Weather Adaptability:
Capacity to work outdoors and indoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold.
Education:
High school diploma or GED is preferred by many employers, though entry-level positions often provide on-the-job training.
Reliability:
Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and good communication skills to coordinate daily tasks with team members.
Certifications:
Prior experience or certification in operating equipment like forklifts is a plus
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
