Job Description
Join Our Team! The Town of Hamilton Water Utility is seeking a motivated, dependable individual to join our team as a Utility Laborer / Operator . This position assists with the operation, maintenance, and repair of the Town's water treatment and distribution system while providing excellent service to our customers. Essential Duties
- Operate, maintain, and repair water distribution and treatment equipment.
- Install, repair, and maintain water mains, valves, hydrants, and service lines.
- Read water meters and perform utility inspections.
- Operate trucks, equipment, and hand tools safely.
- Respond to water system emergencies, leaks, and service calls.
- Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate records.
- Assist other departments when necessary.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service. Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate tools and equipment.
- Basic computer, plumbing, and electrical knowledge are preferred.
- Ability to obtain required State certifications as assigned.
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Stable municipal employment & Competitive Pay Ranging $20.00-$35.00/HR .
