In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for safely transporting household items, furniture, and other goods directly to customers' homes. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your driving skills, manual handling expertise, and customer service abilities in a fast-paced environment. Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles box trucks and hering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload household items using manual handling techniques pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices to optimize time and fuel consumption Provide excellent customer service by delivering items promptly, communicating clearly with customers, and addressing any questions or concerns professionally Load and secure household goods properly to prevent damage during transit Assist with warehouse operations when needed, including inventory management and material handling Experience Previous warehouse experience or experience in commercial driving is highly preferred Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving and customer interaction Familiarity with box trucks, Knowledge of manual handling procedures, heavy lifting techniques, and safe lifting practices in a warehouse or moving environment Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely and efficiently Understanding of DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and safe driving practices on public roads Comfort using mobile devices for route navigation, communication, and documentation purposes This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive on activity, enjoy helping others through reliable service, and are eager to develop their skills in delivery driving and warehouse operations.
