Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Skilled Laborer to join our team.
Job Specifications:
The employee provides manual work involving specialized skills in the operation of landscape equipment such as mowers, tractors, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, weed wackers, roadway maintenance equipment, snow blowers, snow plows and tree maintenance equipment such as chainsaws and chippers and other duties as outlined in the job description. The Skilled Laborer must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by the Highway Department policies and procedures. Physical effort involved in performing duties under all weather conditions. The work shift is a minimum of 40 hours per week plus additional hours as participation in Town-wide weather or emergency operations is required.
Skills/Qualifications:
A minimum of High School graduate or equivalency diploma. Prior municipal experience preferred. Must posses a valid Massachusetts driver's license. The employee must be proficient in and have experience with the operation and methods pertaining to the use and operation of various pieces of landscape. trees. roadway, snow removal and drainage maintenance related equipment. CDL and Hoisting license preferred.
Pay:
$24.72 - $28.88 per hour
