Job Description

Champion Fasteners, LLC. is currently looking for a Secondary Machine Laborer to join our team. Mechanically inclined people are encouraged to apply. If you have a talent for understanding, working with, and solving problems related to machines and mechanical systems, we provide the training and opportunities you need to excel. As a Secondary Machine Laborer, you will be responsible for the running of secondary operations on parts. We make weld studs and when the studs finish their first process, the secondary team will run the parts through machines such as thread rollers or installing flux balls. Cleaning parts and physically moving them through this process is also what you will be doing as a secondary laborer. You will play a crucial role in producing high-quality products by ensuring the machines are running efficiently and effectively. This position requires the ability to read and interpret prints and drawings, use precision measurement tools, and solve problems as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set-up, operate, clean, and move parts.
  • Read and interpret prints and drawings to ensure accurate production.
  • Use micrometers, calipers, and other precision gauges to verify product quality.
  • Problem solve and troubleshoot machine issues to minimize downtime.
  • Adjust machine settings as needed to meet production requirements.
  • Perform daily maintenance on machines to ensure their optimal performance.
  • Safely lift objects up to 60 pounds.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace to uphold our standards of quality and safety.
Qualifications :
  • Mechanically inclined: A talent for understanding, working with, and solving problems related to machines and mechanical systems.
  • Previous experience as a Thread Roller or Flux Ball installer is a plus but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use precision measurement tools.
  • Capacity to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Forklift experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Commitment to safety, cleanliness and organization.
