In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, loading, and unloading of freight within our warehouse environment. 1st shift- 7:00am to 3:00pm Load and unload freight using heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks to ensure safe handling of materials. Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to accurately track inventory movements and update shipment records. Perform order picking tasks with pickers and other tools to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation, and inspecting items for damage or discrepancies. Safely handle heavy lifting tasks while adhering to OSHA safety standards to prevent injuries and maintain a safe work environment. Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance on heavy machinery. Assist in construction-related activities when required, including materials handling for building or repair projects within the warehouse setting. Support warehouse supervisors in coordinating daily operations, maintaining safety protocols, and optimizing workflow efficiency. Experience Proven warehouse distribution experience with a strong understanding of order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling procedures. Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and load & unload machinery. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RFID scanners, OSHA safety standards, and mechanical troubleshooting is highly desirable. Experience in construction or industrial environments involving heavy equipment operation is a plus. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced settings. Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership roles within distribution centers are advantageous but not required. #
