Job Description
Gilbert Inc. (Contracted with FedEx Ground and Home Delivery) Gilbert Inc. has been contracted with FedEx for 15 years. We service the majority of NE Minnesota, Duluth/Superior, and NW Wisconsin. We pride ourselves in providing the best service possible for our employees, FedEx and our customers. We are in search of motivated, reliable, and professional individuals that are capable in performing the duties listed below. Job Summary- Main duties will consist of riding along with a route driver and helping to deliver packages to businesses and residential doorsteps (the goal of having a helper go with the driver is to be able to keep pace with the driver and get the work day completed quicker than if the driver was doing it by themselves. Helpers must be present, distraction-free and motivated while on duty and paired with their driver for the day.) Routes average 50-55 hours per week. Overtime available as there is a need. Shifts will be available 6 days a week (Mondays through Saturdays), may have Saturdays required Part-Time and Full-Time shifts available. Please note that our "part-time" shifts are still considered a full day's shift (7 or 8 am start time and a 8-12 hour day, give or take depending on the day's volume), "part-time" is working less than 5 days a week with those same time requirements. Routes ranging from 70 - 150+ stops per day depending on area. Routes ranging from 50 - 300+ miles per day depending on area. Home every night. •3% IRA match retirement plan (after respective probationary enrollment period for full time employees only) Paid time off available on day 1 and holiday pay after 1 year of employment (both for full-time employees) Must be committed to safe working practices. Must be able to maintain a positive and professional customer service skillset Must be able to lift 70 LBS. Hand carts provided for heavier packages. Max package weight 150 LBS. Requirements- Must be 18 years of age or older. Class D license. Must pass a criminal background check. (All applicants must be clear of any prior drug/alcohol/criminal offenses on their records) Must be able to obtain and keep a DOT medical card.
