Job Description

Job description: Welding Laborer Practice workplace safety while performing general labor duties to include but not limited to lifting, using pry bars, hand tools, shoveling, sweeping and assembly of bore pits/slide rails, dig ditches or trenches, maintain a clean jobsite. • Must be able to weld using Arc Welder. Must be willing to work and perform other labor duties in conjunction to welding position. Graduate of a Credited Welding Program. If not a graduate of a Credited Welding Program must take welding test and pass D1.1 welding certification before hiring. Will work on BNSF and UPRR property and will be subject to a background check High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred Must have ability to pass a background check to work on Federal Rail Projects Ability to work in a safe and responsible manner Effective verbal and listening communication skills Ability to install sewer, water, and storm drainpipes Must be honest, trustworthy and demonstrate sound work ethics Must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance Must have transportation, be punctual and dependable English is required, and employee must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and process manuals. The employee may be exposed to working conditions that include working near loud, large heavy equipment and near moving mechanical parts. This job requires working outdoors in inclement Colorado, and Wyoming weather conditions, year round. Early start workdays, occasional night and weekend work required.
Job Type:
Full-time Schedule - Monday thru Friday 7 am to 7 pm. May work weekends and night shifts as needed.
Pay:
$22.00 - $27.00 per hour
