Logistics Coordinator
Coordinate freight shipments, entering, maintaining, and updating TruckMate and excel spreadsheets on a regular basis.
Monitoring shipments for accuracy and follow-up to ensure pickup and delivery deadlines are met. - Field incoming calls and emails, responding appropriately and timely to customer Inquiries. Review month end reports for accuracy prior to billing process.
- Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- An associate degree in business administration or a related discipline is preferred
- Three to four years of previous industry-related experience is required; must have knowledge of Software management system; TruckMate preferred . Requires the ability to pass a background check to obtain a SIDA badge. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be proficient in MS Office suite of applications including Word, Outlook and Excel
- Proven ability to multi-task and work under pressure while meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated attention to detail and work in a timely, accurate and efficient manner
- Must be able to work independently, be self-motivated, and be a problem solver and goal oriented, and also work in a team environment.
- Must be able to prioritize daily task and assignments
- Must be able to adapt to change in a positive and constructive manner
- Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to work well with internal departments, vendors, and customers
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and practical situations
- An enthusiastic and positive work attitude with strong interpersonal skills
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Ability to exhibit a professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Forklift experience preferred.
