Purpose of Position:

Operates industrial lift truck, or other specialized equipment, in off-loading or transporting parts and materials to proper destination in accordance with written or oral instructions, and performs assigned administrative tasks, specifically, in support of the Shipping and Receiving functions at the Forge Complex.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Operates lift truck in lifting, transporting and placing materials at proper destination. 2. Performs related work such as loading and unloading, sorting, matching and stacking and counting parts and materials and performs work of lower classifications as required. 3. Performs general clean-up as required. 4. Performs minor maintenance on equipment as required. 5. Correctly performs related administrative tasks such as photocopying, affixing, annotating, tagging, etc. of log sheets, labels, travelers, Certificates of Conformance and other operational paperwork. 6. Performs administrative support takes such as cycle counting, various inventory control activities and parts staging on a plant-wide basis. 7. Performs specialized tasks such as the proper and safe loading of outbound trucks and the use of the Heavy Lift to off-load inbound steel or equipment. 8. Performs product packaging tasks, as assigned.

Skills:

High School Degree or GED equivalent, or one (1) year experience in the majority of above Principal Duties and Responsibilities.
