Job Title:
Logistics Coordinator - Mesa, Arizona Job purpose The logistics coordinator oversees the daily operations of the company's outbound logistics. Coordinating transportation, Warehousing, and delivery activities to ensure goods move efficiently from origin to destination.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Outbound Management:
Plan, coordinate, monitor, and track shipments to ensure timely deliveries to job sites
Coordinate:
Communicate with internal teams, drivers, and jobsite personnel regarding scheduling and shipment status
Scheduling/Dispatch:
Plan daily routes for driver according to jobsite request dates, update weekly delivery log.
Order Verification:
Verify orders, coordinate with prefabrication and job sites for accuracy.
Staging and Preparation:
Stage outbound orders based on jobsite priorities and delivery schedules. Ensure orders are properly labeled, organized, secured, and ready for transport
Dispatch:
Plan daily routes for the driver, will call pick-ups, and hot shot requests
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and maintain detailed transmittals, Bill of Ladings, and pertinent shipping documentation. Ensure completed deliveries are archived with signed transmittal
Process Improvement:
Implementing strategies to enhance logistical efficiency, optimize routing, and reduce transportation costs
Compliance and Safety:
Ensuring adherence to company policies and local, state, and federal transportation regulations, and maintaining safety standards in warehouses and during transport. Ensure load configurations comply with vehicle weight capacities, load distribution requirements, and transportation safety standards prior to dispatch.
Administrative:
File signed transmittals, BOLs, Pre-trip QA/QC forms, and pre-task planners.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, transportation coordination, or construction material management preferred. Some college preferred; HS/GED required Strong organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams). Valid drivers license Knowledge of electrical construction materials and processes is a plus Provide innovative thinking to improve processes Excellent customer service skills #dynaz
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Logistics Coordinator to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time (8 hours or more); bend/stoop, kneel/crouch; lift move or push up to 50 lbs; good manual dexterity (use/management of tools); ability to climb using a ladder. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Generally, Monday - Friday during normal business hours (required to respond to after-hours requests); primarily indoors (warehouse); warehouse temperatures varies by season; some office work in a temperature-controlled environment; may encounter noise from machinery/equipment/vehicles While performing the duties of this job, the LC may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration; may be exposed to a variety of extreme conditions while on construction sites (weather, noise, etc.).
