up to $28/hr (based on experience) Position Summary The Mental Health Schedule Coordinator is responsible for managing the scheduling, coordination, and administrative support of psychiatric and behavioral health services for patients within a correctional facility setting. The Coordinator ensures that psychiatric providers, support staff, and patients are efficiently scheduled and coordinated to maintain continuity of care, compliance with facility and contractual requirements, and smooth daily operations of the behavioral health unit (BHU). Key Responsibilities Coordinate and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for psychiatric providers (psychiatrists, LCSWs, counselors) and psychiatric patient appointments. Serve as the primary point of contact between facility custody staff, mental health providers, and administrative leadership for scheduling matters. Track and confirm patient movement requests (pulls) for psychiatric appointments, ensuring timely communication with correctional officers and unit staff. Maintain accurate records of appointment completions, no-shows, refusals, and rescheduled sessions in accordance with facility and

ICE/NCCHC/ACA

documentation standards. Monitor provider availability and coordinate coverage for call-outs, vacancies, or schedule changes to minimize disruption to patient care. Communicate scheduling updates and conflicts promptly to relevant stakeholders, including clinical supervisors and facility administration. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA and facility security protocols. Support audits and compliance reviews by providing scheduling documentation and reports as requested. Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support the behavioral health team.

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred. Minimum 1-2 years of administrative, scheduling, or coordination experience, preferably in a healthcare, correctional, or behavioral health setting. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and competing priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with scheduling software, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., Cerner) preferred. Ability to pass a correctional facility background check and security clearance.

Preferred:

Prior experience working within a correctional or secure healthcare environment. Familiarity with psychiatric/behavioral health terminology and workflows. Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders (clinical, custody, administrative).
