Position Summary Western Driveaway is seeking a highly organized and motivated Driver Operations Coordinator to join our growing team. This position is responsible for coordinating independent contractor drivers, scheduling vehicle deliveries, communicating with customers and terminals, and ensuring shipments move safely, efficiently, and on time. The ideal candidate is proactive, thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates with confidence, and enjoys solving problems. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, a sense of urgency, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch independent contractor drivers throughout the United States. Schedule vehicle pickups and deliveries while maximizing efficiency. Communicate proactively with drivers, customers, and internal teams regarding shipment status. Monitor transportation milestones and resolve issues quickly to ensure on-time service. Enter and maintain accurate transportation information within company systems. Verify driver qualifications and assist with DOT and FMCSA compliance requirements. Monitor Hours of Service and support driver compliance. Build strong relationships with drivers while delivering exceptional customer service. Collaborate with Recruiting, Safety, Finance, and Operations to ensure a smooth onboarding and dispatch process. Assist with reporting, administrative tasks, and other operational duties as needed. Qualifications Previous transportation, dispatch, logistics, or operations experience preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel. Experience with transportation management or dispatch software is a plus. Knowledge of
