Job Description

Position Summary The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the timely and accurate delivery of finished products to customers, including major retail and supermarket accounts. This position serves as the primary liaison between customers, transportation providers, warehouses, and internal departments to ensure on-time deliveries, resolve shipping issues, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Job Functions & Responsibilities Coordinate daily shipments and deliveries to customers and retail distribution centers. Schedule transportation with third-party carriers and logistics providers. Monitor shipment status and proactively track deliveries to ensure on-time performance. Communicate shipment updates, delays, and potential issues to customers and internal stakeholders. Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, delivery status, and transportation concerns. Collaborate with Sales, Production, Warehouse, Inventory Control, and Transportation teams to ensure customer requirements are met. Resolve shipping discrepancies, delivery exceptions, shortages, damages, and routing issues. Review customer orders to verify shipping instructions, appointment requirements, and delivery schedules. Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation within company systems. Assist with order management and prioritize shipments based on customer needs and production availability. Coordinate delivery appointments with customer distribution centers and receiving facilities. Work with freight carriers to resolve service failures and minimize disruptions. Prepare reports related to delivery performance, customer service metrics, and transportation activities. Ensure compliance with customer routing guides and company shipping procedures. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. 2+ years of experience in customer service, logistics, transportation, supply chain, or order management preferred. Experience working with retailers, grocery chains, or distribution centers is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. Experience with ERP, transportation management systems (TMS), or order management software is preferred.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Pay:
From $22.00 per hour
