Job Description
Our client is a well-established aerospace and defense manufacturer and part of a publicly traded global aerospace and defense organization. The company produces specialized components and countermeasure products used by the U.S. military and allied defense forces. The Coachella facility is a highly specialized manufacturing operation supporting the production of components for military ammunition and training applications. This is acontract to perm opportunity. About the Role We are looking for an experienced Master Scheduler to develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and ensure customer demand is aligned with production capacity, materials, inventory, and available resources. This position works closely with Production, Materials, Purchasing, Sales, Logistics, Quality, Contracts, and Program Management to keep production on schedule and identify potential issues before they impact customer deliveries. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule based on customer demand and production requirements. Translate forecasts and customer orders into detailed production schedules. Review labor, equipment, tooling, materials, and capacity to identify potential bottlenecks. Coordinate with Purchasing and Materials teams to ensure materials are available when needed. Monitor raw material and WIP inventory levels. Lead or participate in weekly scheduling meetings with cross-functional teams. Track production schedules against customer and sales commitments. Identify schedule risks and develop solutions to prevent delays. Monitor schedule adherence, production performance, cycle times, and delivery performance. Prepare reports and provide scheduling updates to management. Maintain accurate scheduling and production information in the LN ERP system. Communicate material, production, and scheduling issues to Materials Management, Contracts, Program Management, and Operations. Coordinate production schedules with customers and production supervisors to support on-time shipments. Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. Maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, accountability, and professionalism. Follow all company policies, safety requirements, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in production scheduling, materials planning, or inventory management. Aerospace, defense, or manufacturing experience preferred. Experience with an MRP/ERP system required; LN experience strongly preferred . Experience with SAP, Oracle, or Power BI is a plus. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to take ownership of problems and drive solutions. Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Work Authorization Must be authorized to work in the United States.
