Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shipping Manager to lead our logistics and distribution operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products while maintaining compliance with trade regulations and internal standards. Duties Manage daily shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards. Oversee warehouse distribution operations, including inventory control, stocking, materials handling, and warehouse management system (WMS) utilization. Coordinate transportation planning and logistics management using transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize freight routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery timelines. Lead procurement and sourcing efforts for shipping materials, negotiating with vendors and 3PL providers to secure favorable pricing and service levels. Analyze supply chain data using tools like Tableau, SQL, Excel data analysis, and supply chain analytics to identify bottlenecks, root cause issues, and opportunities for process improvement. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and trade documentation requirements for global shipments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, production planning, customer service, and vendor management to streamline order fulfillment and improve overall supply chain performance. Skills Extensive experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems (IMS), ERP platforms such as AS400 or similar systems. Strong data analysis skills utilizing Excel spreadsheets, SQL queries, Tableau dashboards, and supply chain analytics tools. Proven ability in transportation management systems (TMS), freight coordination, demand planning, and transportation planning. Skilled in procurement processes including sourcing, vendor management, negotiation tactics, and pricing strategies. Knowledge of international trade regulations, NVOCC operations (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), trade compliance standards, and customs procedures. Hands-on experience with warehouse operations such as manual handling, stocking procedures, forklift operation certification preferred. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across departments like logistics management, customer service, procurement, and production planning. Familiarity with inventory control techniques like MRPs (Material Requirements Planning), demand forecasting tools like SAP or equivalent systems.
