Full Job Description Material Controller Classification:
Non-exempt Reports to:Production Supervisor Salary Range:
$23.00- $25.
Schedule:
8:00 AM- 4:30 PM, Monday
- Friday Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations and resolve issues as they arise
- Monitor material inventory and stock levels
- Monitor material inventory and stock levels.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials.
- Issue materials to production, or other departments.
- Learn and understand the process of creating custom pre-cut masking materials and operating the 3D printer to provide the necessary materials for masking operators.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the systems.
- Track material shortages, excess, and obsolete (expired material) inventory.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Customer service, Quality, and Engineering.
- Prepare material reports and inventory reconciliations.
- Perform cycle counts and support physical inventory.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and traceable.
- Follow company safety and quality procedures.
- Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience handling conformal coating materials, solvents, chemicals, or other shelf-life-controlled materials.
- Experience with inventory cycle counts and material reconciliation.
- Basic Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, and inventory tracking.
- Some experience with Silhouette/cutting, and 3D printers for producing custom masking materials.
- Understanding of lot control and material traceability requirements.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to solve inventory discrepancies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
