Job Responsibilities Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects (e.g., drayage, planning and routing) Oversee yard inventory procedures Coordinate shipping schedules with vendors and/or transportation broker Develop requirements and standards (e.g., packaging, procurement, delivery) Discover the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules Foster trusting relationships with vendors and team members Organize transportation activities Managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery Coordinate transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary Manage and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments Research, contact, and coordinate with new or current carriers. Track and trace domestic freight shipments moving via air/ground. Ability to run and update reports as needed within various applications. Review training materials for tracking systems with internal customers whenever necessary. Essential Job Functions Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g., inventory monitoring, sourcing freight bids) Strong analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude Strong mindfulness Great people skills Exceptional verbal and written and communication skill Minimum Required Qualifications One (I) year experience in planning or supply chain industry One (I) year proficient experience in MS Excel and Word. Candidate must be able to create and maintain active spreadsheets Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone etiquette Possess the ability to work well with others and support team goals. Maintain flexibility and accept other duties as assigned while conducting business in a professional manner at all times Ability to work extended hours when necessary
