Job Description

We are looking for a Supply Chain Intern to join a Contract assignment in Oakdale, Minnesota. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys working with data, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting day-to-day planning activities across the supply chain. The position offers hands-on exposure to demand planning, order follow-up, reporting, and operational problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage incoming order confirmations and verify that supplier responses align with business needs and expected timelines.
  • Coordinate with vendors and transportation partners to monitor pickups, shipment activity, and delivery progress.
  • Investigate cost-related discrepancies and work with appropriate stakeholders to resolve exceptions affecting orders or freight.
  • Create and submit special purchase requests when unique customer or business needs arise.
  • Update and maintain product, shipping, and rate information to support accurate planning and execution.
  • Assist with setting up new supplier records and supporting onboarding activities required for vendor readiness.
  • Prepare planning reports and review operational data to help identify trends, gaps, and follow-up actions.
  • Communicate with internal teams and external suppliers to address issues, clarify requirements, and keep orders moving efficiently.
