To support our work, we rely on team members who can keep our shop, workspace, and logistics running smoothly, ensuring engineers and designers have the environment and resources they need to build. About the Role As the Facilities and Logistics Associate, you'll be the first point of contact at our shop and play a critical role in keeping operations seamless. You'll manage shipping and receiving, maintain organization across the shop and entryway, and coordinate with our facilities team to support day-to-day needs. Whether it's receiving deliveries, shipping materials between offices, assembling furniture, or arranging safe disposal of hazardous materials, you'll make sure our workspace is efficient, safe, and ready for innovation. You will report into the Head of Mechanical Engineering in our client's Labs organization. You're excited about this opportunity because you will Manage shipping and receiving, including answering the shop door, signing for deliveries, and ensuring packages reach the right recipients. Keep the entryway and front of the shop organized and tidy, presenting a welcoming, professional environment. Maintain shop organization, ensuring tools, parts, and materials are stored logically and safely. Coordinate the shipment of materials between client's offices and labs. Take on facilities coordination tasks, such as furniture assembly, safe disposal of batteries and hazardous materials, and scheduling vendor support. Serve as the main point of contact with facilities management, helping resolve operational issues quickly Support the Concept Engineering team by tackling odd jobs and operational projects that keep the workspace efficient and productive. Experience coordinating with facilities management or operations teams. Valid US drivers license and ability to drive from Oakland to other Bay Area offices
