Job Description
Centerline Drivers is now accepting resumes to fill the position for a highly organized and motivated Logistics Coordinator to join one of their clients growing transportation team. This position is responsible for coordinating freight movements, dispatching carriers, tracking shipments, communicating with customers and drivers, and ensuring freight is delivered safely and on time. The ideal candidate has previous experience in transportation logistics, dispatch, freight brokerage, or trucking operations and can confidently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch daily shipments throughout the United States. Source and secure qualified carriers for customer freight. Negotiate transportation rates while maintaining service expectations. Track shipments from pickup through delivery and proactively resolve delays. Communicate with customers, drivers, warehouses, and carriers regarding shipment status. Schedule pickups and deliveries while ensuring customer requirements are met. Prepare Bills of Lading (BOLs), rate confirmations, and shipping documentation. Maintain accurate shipment records within the Transportation Management System (TMS). Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and customers. Handle shipment issues, accessorials, and service exceptions professionally. Work closely with warehouse personnel and internal departments to ensure efficient operations. Provide excellent customer service through timely communication and problem-solving. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in dispatch, transportation logistics, freight brokerage, or trucking operations required. Experience working with flatbeds, step decks, dry vans, LTL, or specialized freight is preferred. Strong multitasking and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to prioritize multiple shipments while meeting deadlines. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team. Preferred Experience Freight dispatch Truckload (FTL) and LTL shipping Carrier sourcing and negotiation Shipment tracking and customer updates Transportation documentation Route planning and scheduling What We're Looking For Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
