About the role

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control and combat platforms in the world for the Australian Defence Force.

We are seeking a Supply Chain Team Leader to join the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) Program based in Oakey, Toowoomba & Darling Downs. In this role, you will lead the Supply Support team, managing the supplier pipeline, warehouse and distribution activities, analysis and review of operational support requirements, provisioning spare parts requirements, customer service, and regulatory compliance to support the Program.

Responsibilities

As a Supply Chain Team Leader within BDA, you will:

Manage supply chain processes efficiently and effectively;

Deliver against the Programs strategic objectives;

Lead and develop the Supply Support team;

Deliver on commitments and plans to succeed;

Implement continuous improvement initiatives; and

Identify new opportunities and solutions by thinking beyond current practices and applying innovative approaches.

Experience/Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills to drive outcomes;

Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, supply chain management and logistics roles and functions;

Experience with computerised inventory management systems;

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications;

Knowledge of risk management principles and the ability to apply them to determine practical and cost-effective mitigations;

Demonstrated commitment to the mission, with the ability to combine team energy and expertise to achieve common objectives;

Advanced knowledge of supply chain strategies, including inventory management, supplier consolidation, optimal flow, and lead-time reduction; and

The ability to obtain and hold a Baseline security clearance.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet Defence security requirements and must be willing to undergo the standard government vetting process, including a full life background check. BDA will sponsor and support the required clearance process.
