Job Description
Job Title:
Supply Chain PlannerJob Description As a Supply Chain Planner, you will serve as the tactical point of contact to support local plant supply chain needs, focusing on efficient and effective execution of product planning and procurement. You will analyze and confirm material requirements and inventory to optimize overall supply chain planning, ensuring on-time delivery of purchased materials at or below planned costs. You will issue purchase orders to qualified suppliers, conduct supplier follow-ups, and manage material pick-up and drop-off schedules. Responsibilities
+ Serve as the tactical point of contact for local plant supply chain needs.
+ Analyze and confirm material requirements and inventory on hand or in transit.
+ Ensure on-time delivery of purchased materials at or below planned costs.
+ Issue purchase orders to qualified suppliers at correct pricing and minimum order quantities.
+ Maintain day-to-day contact with suppliers, conducting follow-ups and scheduling material pick-up and drop-off.
+ Process return material authorizations and ensure suppliers are set up for success.
+ Provide bills of materials and other necessary information to suppliers.
+ Hold regular open order review meetings with assigned suppliers.
+ Build cross-functional teams and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Proactively provide status updates on critical supply issues. Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in supply chain planning and procurement.
+ Experience as a Material Planner, Production Planner, Buyer, Program Manager, or Operations Lead.
+ Ability to manage demand planning and supply planning within MRP.
+ Proficient in MRP systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate degree required.
+ Two (2) plus years of related experience.
+ Bonus points for a Bachelor's degree.
+ Bonus points for prior experience in a rapid growth environment. Work Environment This position is based on-site in Torrance, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Torrance, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
