Including 8 hours right away! 8 paid holidays each year 401k with company match Education Assistance The Production Planner will have the primary responsibility of assisting the NIM Branch Production Supervisor on all processing jobs to ensure delivery dates are met, communication is constant regarding production of the processing machines.
Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities:
Work with the Branch Management Team, Processing Supervisor and/or the Estimating and Programming Supervisor to ensure that the schedule is as accurate as possible each day. Evaluate machine workloads and move jobs as necessary to other capable machines with shorter lead times while evaluating impact on job cost and delivery. Includes re-entering PJ's if machines go down. Notify the affected salesperson of any Processing Jobs (PJ's) not going to be completed on time. Assist the warehouse employees and supervisor in finalization of work orders as needed. Assist or lead as needed in the investigation of PJ problems/questions and resolve them in a timely manner. Communicate with the Processing Supervisor closely to evaluate the need to update and/or open or block available hours on machine schedules to accurately reflect current and future available hours correctly. Create and communicate reports as required by the branch management team. Enter orders and stock adjustments. Other duties as assigned by the Branch Management Team and Inventory Manager.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Communicate effectively with all departments and employees of the company while maintaining a positive attitude and displaying professionalism. Effectively evaluate the production schedule to expedite orders and ensure timely completion. Requires flexibility and willingness to work with customer and employee suggestions, keeping in mind the company expectations, goals, and values. Ability to walk throughout the warehouse for up to 50% of the workday
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
