About the RoleRobert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Specialist for a contract opportunity with a growing logistics company in New Haven, Connecticut. This position is ideal for a professional with experience in supply chain operations, inventory management, procurement, and logistics coordination.
The Supply Chain Specialist will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure the efficient movement of materials and products while supporting operational goals and maintaining high service levels.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and monitor supply chain activities from procurement through deliveryTrack inventory levels and assist with inventory planning and replenishmentCommunicate with vendors, suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely shipmentsAnalyze supply chain data and prepare reports to support operational decision-makingMonitor purchase orders, shipment schedules, and delivery timelinesAssist with demand forecasting and inventory control initiativesInvestigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, and supply chain issuesMaintain accurate records within ERP and inventory management systemsSupport process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costsCollaborate with warehouse, purchasing, and customer service teams to meet business objectives
