Job Summary :
Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all incoming freight, ensuring seamless integration into the forwarding logistics chain by verifying contents, managing documentation, and maintaining organized records.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving & Verification:
Unload, inspect, and count incoming shipments; compare contents with purchase orders, packing lists, and invoices for discrepancies or damages.
Inventory Management :
Accurately log and store received goods and ensure the receiving area is clean and organized.
Communication:
Liaise with carriers, drivers and internal teams to resolve issues like missing items or damaged goods.
Compliance:
Ensure all received cargo meets regulatory requirements for import/export, noting any specific customs documentation needs.
Qualifications Experience:
Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, freight forwarding, or shipping/receiving or similar coordination skills.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, basic math, data entry, and problem-solving.
Technical:
Familiarity with inventory software, MS Office, and scanning tools.
Physical:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, work in various weather conditions and work in a potentially noisy warehouse environment.
