Responsibilities:
- Proactively track the status of all shipments in transit using tracking software.
- Accurately update and maintain shipment and load information in the transportation management system (TMS) with a high degree of precision.
- Collect and process necessary documentation.
- Communicate updates, issues or delays with relevant parties.
- Identify and resolve potential issues and delays, such as missed pickups, traffic issues, or weather impacts, and escalate problems as necessary.
- Stay up to date on customer requirements and internal standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adapt to changes easily.
Qualifications:
Experience in a fast-paced work environment. Logistics experience is a plus but is not required. Training will be provided. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain patient and calm under pressure. Proficiency or ability to learn with logistics software, tracking systems (TMS) Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse staff and external partners. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Pay:
$40,000- 50,000 per year + Bonus opportunity Phone rotation bonus (approximately every third weekend), covering the after-hours phone from home and resolving problems on call.
Schedule:
There are currently two shifts available Monday-Friday (6am- 3pm) or (12pm
- 9pm) with rotating Saturdays. Saturday work is from 7am
- 12pm.
