About DLS Engineering DLS is an engineering firm with 30 years of Federal Government contracting experience. Position Overview DLS Engineering is seeking a Logistics Management Specialist for a full-time position for an upcoming proposal in support of the Air Force's 638 Supply Chain Management Group (SCMG) at Robins Air Force Base, GA. This is an on-site position. This contract is to provide hands on technical expertise to provide advisory and assistance services (A&AS) and guidance on logistics systems and processes. The 638 SCMG plans and executes the Air Force Supply Chain to enable weapon system employment when and where needed. The 638 SCMG provides life-cycle logistics support to include developing enterprise demand/supply plans, developing/implementing sourcing strategies, executing the supply plan, and executing cognizant engineering authority to meet customer requirements. In order to meet current and projected workload requirements in support of the 638th SCMG, the Government must augment its organic workforce with A&AS support. A day in the life : You will advise on strategic sustainment acquisition phases of assigned systems, programs, or major equipment, lead the members and stakeholders in the implementation of the sourcing strategies utilizing the eight-step strategic sourcing process and continuous process improvements to streamline contractual efforts, and Conduct analyses on past, current and future performance and spend data to select the best overall strategy for the portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning, managing, and coordinating life cycle logistics support in strategic sustainment acquisition activities for the enterprise Supply Chain Developing, publishing and updating supply chain strategies and associated implementation plans that support achievement of supply objectives through contractual, financial, and technical aspects of the acquisition life cycle Preparing presentations, papers, and other correspondence necessary to support logistics execution When I read the below it sounds like me: Minimum of 8 years of Air Force Supply Chain Management experience Active Secret Security Clearance (required) Experience supporting Air Force logistics, sustainment, or supply chain operations Strong background in logistics planning, sustainment, supply chain analysis, requirements development, and coordination with Air Force logistics organizations Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Preferred experience includes:
