Casappa is a multinational company, founded 74 years ago by the Casappa Family, which still owns it. We design the main components of the hydraulic system, for applications in the fields of construction, road vehicles, material handling, agriculture and mining. We are seeking a Material Planner responsible for managing and maintaining appropriated levels of inventory on hand for our operations. Ideal candidate should have outstanding knowledge and understanding of various supply chain management processes, and be familiar with both MRP and ERP software, as you will use both in the material planning process. Specific duties Reviews MRP created purchase requisitions for appropriateness and releases to be placed on PO and ordered from supplier. Track open purchase orders to ensure delivery commitments will be met. Provide updates to the organization on backorders and their estimated time of arrival. Evaluate and respond to demand plan change requests within the firm demand period. Monitor inbound freight and update planned delivery data. Reviews inventory levels, makes recommendations and changes to optimize inventory related to customer demand, safety stock, and strategic initiatives. Communicate effectively with all associates internally and externally to ensure that commitments are kept. Essential skills and experience At least 2 years work experience in a relevant material planning role Experience working with a global manufacturing company as a buyer or planner Creative thinking, devising new ways to carry out tasks, solve problems and meet challenges Strong MRP knowledge Excellent oral, written communication skills.
